Billy Monger Is Back In A Formula Car!

Less than one year after the accident that took his legs, 18 year old British Formula Racing driver Billy Monger is back behind the wheel of a single-seater.

10 months ago during a Formula 4 race at Donnington Park, Monger was in a massive collision that resulted in both of his legs being amputated. The video of that crash can be viewed below. WARNING, it is graphic.

The car that Monger drove in today's test was provided by the legendary junior team Carlin and has been fitted with hand controls.

Monger completed a test in a VW Cup Car in July of 2017, which marked his first drive in a racing car since the incident. Now Monger has completed a soaking wet test day in a BDRC British Formula 3 car at Oulton Park. Monger aims to return to single-seater racing in 2018 and we can't wait to see him back on the grid!
